The Gili Islands are an archipelago of three small islands : Gili Air, Gili Trawangan & Gili Meno just off the northwest coast of Lombok, Indonesia. Leaving from Bali to the Gilis, passengers have several operators to choose from.
The boat trip from Padang Bai to the Gili islands takes around one and a half to two hours, and generally departs daily between 9:00 am and 9:30 amin the morning.

You can always consider this option if you need a faster way to get to the Gilis. However, it is not that faster compared to direct fast boat trips.
Here’s why: By plane you will arrive in Praya Airport which is about 1 hour 30/45 minutes to go to Bangsal (Lombok harbor to go to the Gili’s) .
Once you are in Bangsal Harbor, you can take either a public or a fast boat for another 10 to 30minutes trip to the gilis.
